The book launch of the Arabic biography, written by Mufti Syed Hussain ibn Imamuddin (The Director of An-Nidaa Academy) on the life and works of Qaidul Ulama Allamah Hafiz Abdul Kareem Shaykh Kowria (r.a), the great disciple of Shaykhul Islam Sayyid Hussain Ahmad Madani (r.a) and the longest serving president of Jamiat Ulama Islam and Azad Deeni Edara Ta’leem madrasah board Bangladesh took place on Tuesday 21 December 2021 at Ford Square Esha Atul Islam Mosque, London, UK.
The event was organised by Al-Kareem Foundation and chaired by the prominent Islamic scholar of Britain Shaykh Asghar Hussain and the chairman of the Council of Mosques Shaykh Shamsul Haq.
Many prominent Islamic scholars and community leaders from various cities attended the book launch event. They shared memories and presented important informative speeches about Shaykh Kowria (r.a).
The speakers said that Shaykh Kowria has a history of a century. He was the leader of scholars. Shaykh Kowria has a distinct identity in the Indian subcontinent due to his leadership of the nation.
The speakers further said, Shaykh Kowria was a remainder of the predecessors (baqiyatus salaf), Allah Almighty gave him the noble character of the predecessors, their knowledge, piety, imaan and the passion of fulfilling the requirements of imaan. His life was as vast as the ocean. Hundreds of scholars would have been present at his one-moment call.
They also said that Shaykh Kowria was the direction of unity. His greatest virtue was steadfastness for truth and justice. He followed every action of life according to the Sunnah. Despite having such a great personality, he was always humble and hospitable.
The speakers highly praised the work and effort of Mufti Syed Hussain ibn Imamuddin, the Arabic biographer of Shaykh Kowria and said, due to the lack of contribution and accurate information of the ulama of Bangladesh in the Arab world and abroad, the Islamic identity of the country has faded in the world today. In this situation, the Arabic composition of Mufti Syed Hussain ibn Imamuddin has given a glimmer of hope.
Hafiz Maulana Syed Masum Ahmad, the youngest son of Shaykh Kowria, gave a summary speech on the book at the event jointly moderated by Hafiz Maulana Syed Naem Ahmad and Maulana Shamsul Alam Kiampuri.

Verses of The Qur’an were recited by the Imam of Darul Ummah Mosque Shaykh Qazi Ashiqur Rahman.
Son of Shaykh Kowria, Hafiz Maulana Syed Mohsin Ahmad from Bangladesh expressed his gratitude through teleconference to all those who attended the event.

The event ended with the dua of Maulana Shaykh Asghar Hussain.
